Hale Custom Signs Inc. isn’t just a sign shop—it’s the culmination of decades of experience, hands-on training, and a passion for turning bold ideas into functional visual displays. Founded by Dan Hale in 2004, the business is built on a deep knowledge of traditional sign-making and a commitment to mastering modern fabrication techniques.


Before opening Hale Custom Signs, Dan spent 11 years learning the craft under a seasoned sign maker in Hatfield, Massachusetts. With that foundation, he set out to create a company that offered more than just signage—it would offer custom solutions, designed and built to meet the unique needs of each client.


What began in a small garage in Turners Falls quickly outgrew its walls. The demand for quality, dependable signage led the business to a larger facility on Montague City Road in Greenfield, and eventually to its current home: a fully outfitted 2,600 sq. ft. shop on French King Highway in Gill, MA.
